Phillips Academy Model United Nations (PAMUN) serves a community wishing to learn more about and find solutions to problems facing the international community. The club provides students the opportunity to experience stimulations of the United Nations, and aims to educate participants about effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy.

PAMUN hosts two student-run conferences, one in the fall and one in the spring. Students are assigned a country to research and represent in the General Assembly, Security Council, or ad hoc cabinet. Exceptional delegates are invited to compete at a national conference, in the winter.

The 2009-10 board intends to build on the strong tradition of the club by expanding activities on and outside of campus. This year, members will have more opportunities to compete. The club will organize trips to independent schools that run Model UN conferences of their own.
